About Maddi Gordon

Maddi Gordon went to her first drag race at 8 days old and never looked back. As young kids Maddi and her sister Macie Gordon spent every Saturday working at the race car shop on all things from trailer work, shop work, learning to ride motorcycles, ETC. With school and sports Maddi wasn’t able to make it out to many of Doug’s races as a young kid but always attended the close ones when possible.

When Maddi turned 8 years old she started driving a Jr dragster, which at the time when 55 MPH to the 1/8 mile. Her sister Macie started about 1 1/2 years later when she turned 8 as well. The Gordon’s ran their Jr dragster operation as a true family affair where they all 4 contributed in different ways to the team. As Gordon grew older she moved into faster cars and older age groups. When she turned 14 years old they added a Jr Comp car to the mix which was a larger dragster and went about 100 MPH to the 1/8th mile.

Due to covid, in March of 2020 Maddi and Macie were forced into the online schooling program for the time being. Since school was online the girls took advantage of the opportunity and became the full time crew members on Doug’s top alcohol funny car. As a family team as well as Rick Wilkinson the Gordon’s were able to win their first world championship in 2020.

When Maddi turned 18 she aged out of the Jr dragster program and began driving the families Super Comp dragster which went about 180 MPH to the 1/4 mile. Gordon ran super comp for about 1 year where she also geared up to drive the families top alcohol funny car.

At 19 years old (2023) Gordon got her Top Alcohol Funny Car license in Brainerd Minnesota, something she truly dreamed of her whole life. Although it wasn’t her time to drive just yet, she continued to crew on the families TAFC while she awaited her return into the drivers seat in 2024.

2024 Maddi Gordon began her rookie season in the very difficult TAFC class. Still operating as a full family crew with grandfather Mike, grandmother Cheryl, Dad Doug, Mom Christina, and sister Macie they were able to obtain #2 in the world and won the west region championship. It was a dream season for rookie driver Maddi Gordon and as many would assume she is beyond excited for the upcoming season.
